Park Jin-young, also known by his stage names Jinyoung and Jr., was born on September 22, 1994, in South Korea. He is also an actor and songwriter. He is a part of the JJ Project boy band as well as the Got7 boy band.

Insights About Park Jin-Young

Known by his stage names J. Y. Park and The Asiansoul as well as the initials JYP, Park Jin-young (Hangul: born December 13, 1971) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer, record executive, and reality television show judge.

As a vocalist, Park became well-known after his 1994 debut album, Blue City was released. He founded JYP Entertainment, one of South Korea’s most successful entertainment companies, in 1997. Park produced and managed several very successful K-pop singers, including Rain, Wonder Girls, 2 PM, Miss A, Got7, Day6, Twice, Stray Kids, Itzy, and Nmixx. He also managed the Mandopop group Boy Story and the J-pop duo NiziU.

Education

While attending Yonsei University, he put out his first two CDs. In 1996, he earned a bachelor’s degree in geology. His sibling is older.

Career

The first Asian producer to enter the American music scene, park jin-young tv shows entered in 2004 and began working with artists including Will Smith, Mase, and Cassie.

The I Love Asia Project was founded by Park and Jackie Chan in May 2008 in response to the tragic earthquake in China. To generate money for aid efforts in Sichuan, Chan, Park, and Korean filmmaker Kang Je-gyu created the song “Smile Again.” A wide range of Korean celebrities, including actresses, singers, and figure skater Kim Yuna, was included in the song. On June 30, the music video was posted to JYP Entertainment’s YouTube channel.

JYP made his acting debut in Dream High at the beginning of 2011, for which he was nominated for the Baeksang Arts Awards’ New Actor of the Year. He appeared in the Dream High 2 prequel, which debuted in January 2012.

In the 2011 movie Five Million Dollar Man with Jo Sung-ha and Min Hyo-rin, Park made his acting debut as Choi Young In, a man on a mission to deliver 5 million dollars personally. The movie was made available on July 19, 2012.
